Knights of Columbus

The roots of the Knights of Columbus were planted in the rich soil that was 19th century North America. Out of the melting pot of the 1880's, our Catholic, family, fraternal, service organization emerged as a beacon of hope for masses.

Whether helping the poor, the sick, the orphaned and the widowed, or supporting their Catholic brothers with their practical or spiritual needs, the first Knights of Columbus stood ready to help.

Since 1882, we've been working for the improvement in the lives of our members and our societies.  Today, the Knights of Columbus boasts a membership of over 1.6 million strong, and growing!   Imagine being part of an organization that fills your heart and your mind with the joy of giving to others and the feeling that comes with making a difference.

We invite you to learn more about the Knights of Columbus , our programs and the services offered to our members and their families.

About Our Council

St. Mary's Council 11690 was chartered as a local council of the Knights of Columbus on January 11, 1996.  It currently has 123 members.  While many were instrumental to the formation of our Council, we owe a special gratitude to the vision, hard work and support of our first Chaplain, Father Arnold R. Medeiros. Our council is located at 1 Power Street, Norton, MA 02766.

Regular council business meetings are held at 7:30 PM on the second Wednesday of every month at St. Mary's parish center.
